Delete your account

You can request deletion of your Baniyagiri account and all associated data at any time. We honour requests within 30 days.

How to request deletion

Email gupta.karan.11@gmail.com from the email address tied to your Baniyagiri account, with the subject line "Baniyagiri account deletion". No further detail is required — we identify your account by the sender address.

What gets deleted

• Your user record (display name, email, Firebase identifier)
• All expenses, shares, and settlements you created
• All groups you own (members are notified; groups with other admins are transferred)
• All friend-list entries you added
• Any in-flight CSV/PDF imports under your account

What stays

• Expenses or shares other users created that involve you remain under their accounts. Your name on those records is replaced with "Deleted user".
• Anonymised server logs (IP / timestamp / request path) are retained for up to 30 days for security and operational purposes, then expire.

Timeline

We confirm receipt by email within 7 days and complete deletion within 30 days. You will receive a final confirmation email when the deletion completes.
